*Job Summary/Basic Function:**About This Role: *

The Department of Political Science seeks candidates qualified to teach courses at any level of instruction in the department curriculum. This is a part time, pooled position filled on an as-needed basis.

*What You'll Do - Position Responsibilities:*

* Teach courses at assigned times using current pedagogical methods, keeping accurate records of students' grades.
* Maintain effective and timely communication with students, chair of department, and composition director.

*Key Competencies:*
* Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to implement effective and innovative teaching strategies.

*Physical Requirements:*
* Able to lift 25 lbs. and be able to perform a variety of physical tasks including lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, stair climbing and walking between buildings.
