We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support the successful delivery of network infrastructure and structured cabling projects at a large-scale site. This role works closely with the Project Manager and site leadership to help plan, coordinate, and execute projects while ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget objectives are met.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in both office and active construction environments.
What You'll DoSupport project planning, scheduling, and execution across multiple phases
Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and financial tracking
Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and logistics to support field operations
Participate in pre-construction planning, constructability reviews, and cost estimating
Track job costs, support invoicing, and assist with change management
Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams
Monitor project progress and support corrective actions when needed
Support quality, safety, and compliance programs on-site
Communicate project status, risks, and updates to stakeholders and clients
Maintain project documentation, reporting, and playbooks
Be present on-site to support active construction and installation activities
1 3+ years of experience in construction, data centers, structured cabling, or network infrastructure projects
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Willingness and ability to work on-site
Experience with contract administration and change management
Client-facing project coordination experience
Familiarity with project management metrics (Earned Value, SPI, CPI)
PMP or equivalent project management certification
BICSI RCDD or similar telecommunications certifications
