Reporting to the Deputy Director of IRAs, the Director of Resident Care and Program Performance (RCPP) is a key member of the IRA management team, helping to ensure quality care, appropriate placements and overall compliance with state, federal, and CARF regulations and standards. The Director of RCPP is responsible for working with the team members and staff to keep the IRAs in full compliance with regulations and guidelines and audit ready. They oversee the IRA billing and billing process and are the primary leader in coordinating and overseeing resident transitions and placements, including admission, discharges and returns from hospital, rehab or nursing home stays, as well as additional communication to help engage and coordinate care with family members. They actively partner and collaborate with colleagues and staff, as well as with external stakeholders, including families, advocates and OPWDD.
The visual and manual dexterity needed for this position include the ability to work on the computer typing reports and reviewing charts. There is also the need to speak frequently on the telephone, including a cellular phone and participate in video conference meetings.
