We are seeking a Catering Worker PRN for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Did you get into our industry for these reasons? Job Summary and Qualifications

The Catering worker is responsible for patient food service on assigned units, menu selections, tray assembly, tray delivery, and pick up, special requests and needs, and in-between meal food delivery. Exhibits a friendly, caring attitude to patients while introducing the Catering to You program while taking menu selections, delivering trays, and inquiring during catering rounds and retrieving trays.

What you will do in this role:

• Utilize appropriate portion control.
• Write and prepare snack nourishment for patient residents.
• Communicate to the Dietitian special needs or request of patients, residents and staff.
• Ensure that the correct diet is prepared for the patient by physician's orders.
• Speak menu to all patients except those receiving a clear liquid, full liquid or pureed diet.
• Communicate patient needs to appropriate staff while maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Keep clean work area and equipment.
• Knowledge of safety and sanitation rules and regulations.
• Cart is maintained in a neat and orderly manner, free of excessive supply items. Cart is restocked at the end of the assigned shift. Janitor closet is maintained in a neat and orderly manner, free of excessive supply items.
• Assist in dish room with dishwashing and storage of clean dishes.

What qualifications you will need:

• High school diploma/GED preferred.
• Prior food service experience and stable work history are preferred.
