Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Brooklyn, NY (initially on-site, potential for hybrid after onboarding)
200K+ (commensurate with experience)

 

Overview:
A fast-growing, multi-program healthcare organization is seeking a dynamic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee day-to-day operations across multiple regulated service lines. This role is ideal for a strategic, data-driven leader with a proven track record in managing large teams, streamlining processes, and maintaining compliance in Medicaid-funded or similarly regulated industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage operations across multiple programs, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and high-quality service delivery.

  • Lead and mentor a team of directors and managers, creating accountability and fostering a collaborative, results-oriented culture.

  • Implement processes and workflows to optimize performance, improve productivity, and increase operational efficiency by at least 20%.

  • Act as the primary liaison between executive leadership and program directors, translating vision into actionable operational strategies.

  • Ensure strict adherence to compliance standards, regulatory requirements, and Medicaid guidelines.

  • Drive technology adoption and data utilization to inform decision-making and operational improvements.

  • Support the launch and growth of new programs, ensuring operational readiness from day one.

 

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in operations leadership, preferably in healthcare, special education, or other highly regulated environments.

  • Strong understanding of Medicaid and related compliance requirements

  • Proven ability to manage large teams and complex operations in a high-growth environment.

  • Demonstrated success in process improvement and implementing scalable systems.

  • Tech-savvy, with the ability to leverage data and systems for operational efficiency.

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
