Summary

This position will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with various teams to ensure our cloud solutions are scalable, secure, and cost-effective. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding our cloud adoption journey and optimizing our cloud resources.

The salary range for this position is $126,000 - $190,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud-based solutions that meet business requirements.
• Develop and maintain cloud architecture standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of cloud services.
• Evaluate and recommend cloud service providers and tools.
• Monitor cloud performance and optimize resources for cost-efficiency (FinOps)
• Ensure the security and compliance of cloud infrastructure.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members

Key Attributes:

• Align Cloud strategies with business goals, ensuring that the cloud infrastructure supports the company’s objectives.
• Analyze current infrastructure, applications, and business requirements to design optimal cloud solutions.
• Evaluate and select appropriate cloud services and solutions that comply with the company’s Cloud governance.
• Develop detailed migration strategies for moving applications and data to the cloud minimizing disruption to the e business.

Minimum Education

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience Requirements

• 6+ years of proven experience as a Cloud Architect or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with cloud architecture frameworks and best practices.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Experience Preferred

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect).
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
• Knowledge of networking and security principles

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

• Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings. 
• May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
• May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
