Elmwood Day Camp is seeking responsible, energetic, and committed lifeguards to join our incredible summer team. Located in Westchester County, Elmwood is a premier day camp for children ages 3–10, known for its strong community, supportive staff culture, and exceptional aquatic program.

Position Overview:
As a lifeguard, you’ll be a key part of our aquatics team, teaching swim during instructional swim and ensuring safety during free swim.. You’ll work alongside certified Water Safety Instructors, swim coaches, and fellow lifeguards under the leadership of an experienced Aquatics Directors.

Dates:
June 29 – August 20, 2025
(Monday–Friday, 8:15 AM – 4:15 PM)

4 mandatory orientation dates prior to the first day of camp.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain constant supervision of campers in and around the water
• Enforce safety rules and respond to emergencies calmly and effectively
• Collaborate with a team to support a safe, fun, and structured swim environment
• Participate in pre-season lifeguard training and ongoing in-season skill refreshers

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 17 years old by June 23, 2026
• Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification (or willingness to obtain before the season begins)
• Strong communication, teamwork, and situational awareness
• Prior experience working with children is a plus
