A vibrant, busy, and growing full-service law firm with over 115 attorneys seeks an experienced Litigation Associate Attorney to join its expanding Rochester office. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented litigator who wants to work across diverse practice areas and handle significant responsibility in a collegial, team-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle all phases of litigation, including:
• Drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery demands
• Conducting legal research and analysis
• Taking and defending depositions
• Representing clients in court appearances, hearings, and trials
• Manage litigation files and case strategy independently and as part of a team
• Work directly with clients to advise on litigation matters and provide proactive counsel
• Contribute to business development and client relationship efforts as experience grows

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school
• Admission to practice law in New York
• 5+ years of litigation experience in:
• Drafting litigation documents (pleadings, motions, discovery)
• Depositions
• Court appearances and trial work
• Experience preferred in:
• Employment and labor law litigation
• Business and commercial disputes
• Real property litigation
• Contract disputes
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases
• Strong oral and written advocacy skills (writing sample required prior to interviews)
• Comfortable working with senior management and across departments in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook
• Positive, collaborative, and professional demeanor
