Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service, managing front desk operations, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the medical office. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in various electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Duties

• Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
• Manage patient scheduling and appointment confirmations using EHR systems.
• Perform insurance verification and collect payments as needed.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Handle multi-line phone systems to manage incoming calls efficiently.
• Provide clerical support including filing, typing, and data entry using Microsoft Office applications.
• Review care plans and assist with patient intake processes.
• Ensure the front desk area is organized and welcoming for patients.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to facilitate effective patient care.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar administrative role within a medical or dental office is preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR systems such as EMA is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, health information management, and insurance processes is essential.
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction.
