Role overview

Drive safe, cost-effective, high-quality production across bending and the powder coat paint line. Under the direction of the Production Manager, you will lead people, processes, schedules, and standards to meet company performance goals and customer requirements.

Core leadership duties

• Interview, hire, train, and develop team members.
• Plan, assign, and direct work; set expectations; delegate effectively and monitor progress.
• Appraise performance, recognize results, and administer discipline as appropriate.
• Address complaints and resolve problems with fairness and urgency.

Production planning and execution

• Create and manage production schedules; validate component and sub-assembly readiness versus the build schedule.
• Partner with Purchasing to resolve shortages; revise schedules as needed.
• Lead systems integration and test activities to meet quality and delivery targets at the lowest cost.

Process, quality, and maintenance

• Develop and implement departmental policies, procedures, and standardized work.
• Continuously evaluate processes; recommend improvements to methods, equipment, staffing, and product quality.
• Implement preventive maintenance; plan equipment repairs to limit downtime.
• Monitor non-conformances; define corrective actions and drive closure.

Operational administration

• Ensure complete/accurate documentation (timecards, quality records, etc.).
• Maintain supplies, tools, and equipment; uphold housekeeping and safety/work rules.
• Participate in planning meetings; recommend space, personnel, and equipment needs.
• Approve vacation schedules and provide internal performance metrics.

Focus area requirement

Primary scope includes the bending area and powder coat paint line. Previous paint line experience is required.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of powder coat paint line experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Proficiencies: Supervisory Experience and Supplier Management.

Education and experience

• 1–2 years related experience; or
• 2 years of college with 3–5 years progressively responsible related experience; or
• High school (4 years) with 7–10 years progressively responsible related experience; or
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
