Location: Saranac Lake, NY, 12983

Duration: 13-weeks Contract

Shift: 10hr Day | 7:30am 4pm

Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Weekly Pay Rate: $3,400 - $3,680; (Negotiable based on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

• Gross examination and dissection of surgical pathology specimens under supervision of a pathologist
• Preparation, dissection, and documentation of autopsy cases
• Assist in intraoperative consultations (frozen sections)
• Ensure accurate specimen labeling, documentation, and quality control
• Collaborate with pathology, histology, and cytology teams to ensure efficient workflow
• Maintain laboratory equipment and cleanliness in accordance with safety standards
• Prepare photographic documentation of specimens as required
• Ensure compliance with NYS DOH and CAP regulations

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited Pathologist Assistant program.
• NYS Licensure as a Pathologist Assistant.
• Valid NYS license as HT/HTL or MLT/MT.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience as a Pathologist Assistant.

Required Experience in:

• Surgical Pathology / Histology
• Cytology
• General Pathology
• Autopsy Pathology
