This role is for a Registered Nurse in an Operating Room (OR) setting. The RN will provide skilled nursing care in a fast-paced environment, focusing on orthopedic surgeries. The position requires on-call responsibilities and a minimum of two years of experience.

Responsibilities:
- Providing skilled nursing care to surgical patients.
- Performing patient assessments and administering medications.
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.
- Participating in treatment planning and case management.
- Managing on-call responsibilities.
- Charting in Paragon.
- Maintaining a 1:1 patient-to-nurse ratio.
- Utilizing Olympus and Stryker equipment.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State (NYS).
- Minimum of two years of experience as an OR RN.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- NIHSS certification.
- Completion of 6 continuing education units (CEUs) on stroke-related topics prior to starting.
- Orthopaedic surgical experience.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Travel nursing experience.
Special Considerations:
- On-call responsibilities are required.
- The facility has the right to cancel up to three shifts at no cost during the 13-week assignment.
- COVID-19 vaccination proof or declination required per facility guidelines.
- The unit is described as "heavy with ORTHO".
Scheduling:
- Four 10-hour shifts per week, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
- On-call responsibilities are included.
