Job Title: Software Application Tester
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Application Tester with hands-on experience testing enterprise software applications on rugged mobile devices (e.g., Zebra, Honeywell, Android handhelds) and RFID-enabled hardware. The ideal candidate will validate functionality, performance, and reliability of applications across various device types, ensuring a seamless experience for end users in warehouse, logistics, and field service environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Test enterprise applications on mobile devices including Zebra, Honeywell, and other rugged handhelds.
Conduct RFID hardware and software integration testing, verifying tag reads, accuracy, and performance under different environments.
Perform functional, regression, performance, and compatibility testing across multiple devices and operating systems.
Identify, document, and track defects using standard defect tracking tools (e.g., GitHub, JIRA).
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA team to ensure requirements are met.
Validate device configurations, connectivity (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular), and peripheral integrations (scanners, printers, RFID readers).
Write and execute test cases, test scripts, and test plans.
Provide clear reports of test results
Qualifications:
Proven experience in testing applications on rugged handheld devices (Zebra, Honeywell, etc.).
Experience with QA tools (JIRA, GitHub or equivalent).
Ability to create structured test cases and document test results clearly.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with RFID technology (RFID readers, RFID tags).
Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Asset Management System (AMS), Inventory Management System (IMS), logistics.
Knowledge of barcode scanning, RFID workflows using RFID scanner and RFID fixed reader with antenna.
