Teacher - Special Education (CEP)

Qualifications:

1. Must be licensed as a Special Education teacher - Moderate or Severe Disabilities with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
2. SEI Endorsement Required
3. Must hold a bachelors degree or higher.

General Duties:

Guides and evaluates the learning experience of the students in her/his classes and accepts responsibility for activities of students within her/his purview within the school building or on the school grounds.

Specific Duties:

• Provides differentiated curriculum instruction to students
• Participates in faculty meetings and workshops
• Provides when necessary instructional help outside the regular student day within bounds established by the collective bargaining agreement
• Participates in curriculum planning and professional development a ctivities
• Prepares records and reports as
• Provides for the care and protection of school property
• Keeps records and all books supplies and equipment in her/his c lassroom
• Accepts instructional and non - instructional assignments as provided for in the collective bargaining agreement .
• Executes School Committee policy .
