Job Description

*** Position Overview** Forklift Operators are responsible for unloading trucks in receiving, moving materials from one plant to another, and dumping trash through the plant. They must adhere to Polaris Boats policies in regards to material handling within the plants. **Essential Job Functions** * Know how to operate a forklift and trash compactor * Know how to handle hazardous materials * Able to load and unload trucks * Deliver and pick up parts at other plants * Perform light kitting of parts, some cycle counting, and emptying trash containers **Non-essential Job Functions** * Must be a great problem solver * Communicate well with others * Keep work areas organized and clean **Requirements** * At least one year of forklift/material handler experience * Able to sit, stand, walk, and use hands regularly * Work inside in congested areas and outside in seasonal weather * Stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling and bending frequently * Must be able to lift and handle up to 50 pounds of material **Other Skills/Abilities** * Ability to be cross trained **PPE Requirements** * Safety glasses * Gloves * Seatbelt on forklift Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/Disabled
