The Position

We are seeking an entry-level Junior IT Systems Administrator who will assist in the day-to-day management of our third-party case management software. This position is located in our Garden City office.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating with legal and administrative departments to understand their processes and tasks.
• Designing systems within our case management software to assist with and streamline those processes and tasks.
• Writing SQL queries on a complex database for the purpose of guiding the systems within our case management system.
• Addressing software issues and bringing them to resolution through proper channels.
• Creating and managing document templates, with mark-up for case-specific generation, for court filings or general use.
• Compiling reports, simple or complex, as required by the diverse needs of the various departments.
• Auditing our case management software for data errors (duplicate entries, error-causing characters, missing data, etc.) and logic errors (processes being misdirected).
• Assisting with basic computer troubleshooting

Requirements

• Intermediate-level SQL knowledge is required. Applicants with Python experience will be preferred. There will be a technical interview.
• Oral and written communication are essential; the candidate must be able to translate technical details into layman's terms.
• Candidates must demonstrate an interest in working with data and creative problem solving.

Education

• At a minimum, the candidate should have a certification in data management/science where they were trained to use SQL.
