MEDICAL INSURANCE VERIFICATION SPECIALIST
Join our team as a Medical Insurance Verification Specialist—making a difference from home. Help patients access vital treatments by managing insurance benefits, prior authorizations, and support services in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
LOCATION & BENEFIT:
Remote - Must live in the Dallas–Fort Worth area
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE:
• $18–20/hr.
• Monday - Friday | availability for an 8-hour shift between 8am - 8pm EST or 7am – 7pm CST
ROLE IMPACT
As a Medical Insurance Verification Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in securing timely patient access to prescribed therapies by coordinating insurance verifications and prior authorizations. Your work directly impacts patient care, payer communication, and operational efficiency across the healthcare continuum.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Conduct insurance benefit investigations and document all activity in internal systems
• Submit prior authorization requests and necessary documentation to insurance providers
• Manage inbound calls and escalate complex inquiries appropriately
• Liaise with insurance payors, provider offices, and pharmacies to expedite coverage decisions
• Track and follow up on pending authorizations, flagging delays to leadership
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or GED
• 1+ years’ experience in pharmacy, medical insurance, or healthcare administration
• Strong communication and customer service capabilities
• Knowledge of medical and pharmacy benefits across major insurers

PREFERRED SKILLS
• Experience in benefit verification or prior authorization support
• Background in call center or high-volume reimbursement settings
