Qualifications
Bachelor's or master's degree in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in wetland science, invasive species management, and endangered species assessments, with demonstrable USACE project experience.
Proficiency in wetland delineation protocols, plant and wildlife identification (including endangered species), and ecological survey techniques.
Familiarity with federal and state environmental regulations, including Section 404 permitting, mitigation requirements, and the Endangered Species Act.
Experience in designing and implementing invasive and endangered species management plans.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to prepare clear, concise technical reports.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Willingness to work outdoors in varied conditions and travel to project sites as needed.
Preferred Skills
GIS and GPS proficiency for mapping and spatial analysis.
Familiarity with hydrology, soil science, restoration ecology, and endangered species conservation practices.
Experience engaging with regulatory agencies and stakeholder groups.
