Job Description
A remote Wiring and Harness Installation Engineer job is currently available at Belcan. This is a full-time, direct opportunity with benefits. To be considered for this role, you will need a bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of engineering experience or an equivalent degree and experience combination.
Wiring and Harness Installation Engineer job duties:
- Responsible for harness routing and clipping solutions within the assigned sector.
- Development of 3D models and 2D drawings of pre- and post-production detail parts, assemblies, installations, sub-systems, and integrations for rotocraft & fixed wing electrical design
- Support customer in electrical hardware integration and internal wiring from design to production phases
- Responsible for interfacing with customer, project management team and other engineers to status tasking and delegate priority tasks
- Travel 25% or less
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in a recognized engineering field from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Experienced with harness routing design in CAD software Solidworks required.
- Ability to interpret provided engineering requirements and determine solution paths.
- Ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams, communicate technical information effectively with both internal team and external customers
- Manage time efficiently, and produce accurate designs
- Ability to learn quickly, multitask efficiently, and flexible enough to meet evolving customer prioritization of tasks
- Experience with aerospace, automotive, or industrial preferred but not required
Preferred:
- Analysis skills to be able to identify and quickly resolve/mitigate issues
- Experience with EMI/EMC analysis, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation analysis, and grounding and bonding analysis.
- Able to develop verification reports and evidence supporting vehicle specification requirements.
- Background/interest in aerospace (school/internship/work experience)
- Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, ASME Y14.100 drafting standards, SAE AS50881, ITAR trade compliance
- Experience with CAD Software UGNX, Mentor Graphics, Creo, Catia V5, Inventor, etc are also considered
Compensation:
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $75,000 to $105,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
