**Work Shift:** Please see job description for details. **Time Type:** Full time **Department:** **Summary:** Full Time, $10,000 Sign On Bonus Responsible for the safe operation of a medium lift twin engine helicopter in single pilot day/night/NVG visual and instrument flight condition. Performs flight duty in a 24 hour hospital based operation and adheres to CAMTS guidelines. **Additional Information:** **Full Time** **$10,000 Sign On Bonus** **Required Education:** High school diploma or general education degree (GED) **Recommended Education:** Associate Degree **Required Work Experience:** Transport - 8 years Minimum of 2700 hours total time, 2500 hours rotary wing flight time comprising 1000 hours of pilot in command (PIC) 1500 hours of turbine engine, 100 hours of night operations including NVG experience and 100 hours acrual or simulated instrument experience **Recommended Work Experience:** **Required Certifications:** Class 1 Medical Certification or Class 2 Medical Certification - FAA, Commercial Helicopter with Instrument - FAA **Recommended Certifications:** Air Transport Pilot License - FAA, Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) Helicopter - FAA, Certified Flight Instrument Instructor (CFII) Helicopter - FAA **Description** 1. Complies with all FAA Regulations (FAR's, 14 CFR), Angel One Transport General Aviation Operations Manual, Safety Manual, Training Manual and all other Arkansas Children's policies and procedures. 2. Prepares VFR/IFR flight plans in accordance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, Arkansas Children's General Aviation Operations Manual, and Arkanas Children's policies. 3. Ensures aircraft is prepared for flight in accordance with the Aircraft Operator's Manual and General Aviation Operations Manual. Checks aircraft discrepancy log to ensure all discrepancies have been corrected or properly deferred. 4. Performs maintenance operational checks and/or flights and enters mechanical discrepancies into aircraft log book keeping maintenance personnel and Angel One Communications Center abreast of aircraft status. 5. Files, activates and closes flight plans. 6. Ensures proper completion of flight logs, manifest records and maintenance forms. 7. Maintains proficiency as Pilot-in-Command as per FAR Part 135.293/299 and Single Pilot Instrument Flight Rules (SPIFR) proficiency as per FAR Part 135.297. 8. Notifies the Director of Operations whenever a medical deficiency exists that would affect the safety of flight. 9. Performs other duties as assigned.
